Registering For Your MLB BASE

What exactly is "BASE"? BASE = Baseball and Softball Evaluation

BASE is a MLB-sanctioned performance assessment measuring hitting and athleticism. See where you stand versus your peers, discover where to focus your training, and track improvement over time — all with data you own and control.

Registration Process

There are 4 parts for the registration process for MLB BASE:

1. Selecting Your Event & Location
2. Enter Your Information
3. Review & Sign Privacy Waiver
4. Payment

Selecting Your Event & Location

On a 1845 Registration Page, you will see the event details including the title, description, and facility logo.

In the select your training facility section, choose the organization or location where your evaluation will take place and click SELECT LOCATION to continue. 

Enter Your Information

Next, you'll enter some information about the player in the About the Player Section.

Your profile allows you to keep all performance history in one place! When entering your information, the system will automatically check whether you already have a profile with us! 

If you are a returning player, and you know your Stacks ID, enter it here alongside your name and date of birth to auto-fill your information. If a match is found, you’ll be asked to verify your account by entering a code we send to the email address we have on file.

If you are a new player, and new to the 1845 ecosystem, the system will guide you through creating your permanent performance profile and ensure your data is accurately captured!  Follow the instructions below to continue with registration, ignoring the Stacks ID section for now. 

1. Under Basic Info section, enter your first name, last name, date of birth, and gender. This ensures your data is benchmarked against the correct age group (13U or 14+).​ Click Validate Info to continue.

2. A window will appear letting you know this is a new account. Click Create My Account. This allows us to create your Stacks ID, which will be sent to the email address on file.

3. Under Extra Details, share information that allows us to accurately capture data during your BASE. Know that our data belongs to you. Organization staff can view it to support your experience but only you can choose to share it externally.
   • Bio-data: Sport, primary position, height, weight, competition level, and bat length.
   • Group selection: Under “select your time slot or team,” choose your training group if you’re registering with your team. If you’re registering individually, select a time slot that works best for you.
4. Share primary contact details by entering information for your primary contact, typically a parent or guardian. If you’re 18 or older, you can enter your own details.

Review and Sign Privacy Waiver

Review the privacy waiver, which explains how performance data is used and protected. Signing the privacy waiver provides one-time consent. During this process you'll sign two separate agreements. Once completed, your consent is saved to your profile so you won’t need to sign again for future registrations.

Payment

Payments are processed directly through the secure registration portal.

• Review pricing: The final page displays the total cost, including any event-specific discounts.​

• Checkout: Enter your card details to complete the transaction.​

• Confirmation: You will see a "payment successful" message once the transaction is complete.

What Happens Next?

1. Invoice and Receipt Email
   • You’ll receive an automated confirmation email right away.​ It will include a link to your receipt. Your payment will appear on your credit card statement as to 1845 Solutions​. 
2. Data Activation
   • Stacks is where your performance data lives. Your registration creates a request to link you to your organization. Once an admin approves, your profile is activated and you can log in to view your BASE results.​
3. MLBU App Access 
   • To view your results and unlock advanced features like Player Match, download the MLBU app and follow the prompts to connect your verified Stacks account.
