Hitting Metrics

Did you recently record numbers at a EL1 event!? If so, check out this article below to brush up on the metric definitions for each of your recorded metric types:

Max Exit Velo

  • This is the Max Ball Speed when leaving the bat, measured in MPH.

AVG Exit Velo

  • This is the Average Ball Speed when leaving the bat, measured in MPH.

AVG LA

  • This is the Average Vertical Launch Trajectory Angle, measured after contact.

Barrel PCT

  • This is the count of hits reaching 90% of Max Exit Velocity plus Launch Angel (LA) of > = 10 degrees.

Max Bat Soeed

  • This is the Max Speed of the bat's barrel reached on a single swing. 

AVG Bat Speed

  • This is the Average Max Speed of the bat's barrel reached on all swings taken.

Max Accel

  • This is how quickly a batter speeds up their swing from swing start until ball impact. 

Power Applied

  • This is the amount of power that is applied to the bat by the hands and body.

DIZ

  • This is the length of the hitting zone "swept" by the bat.
