BASE Assessment Next Steps

Following your first BASE Assessment, you can set up your account in the MLBU App to check your results. Setting up an MLBU account is simple, and we'll guide you through the process step by step. Just follow the instructions below:

BASE Results Email

Following your BASE Assessment, you should receive an emails that details your next steps following your BASE Assessment. Within this email, you should see a button titled LETS GO, which will allow you to download the MLBU App when selected. You can then follow these steps below to set up your Account, and connect your Stacks Profile which has your results from your BASE Assessment.

Account Types

When signing up in the MLBU App, you can create a Player account or a Guardian account. They both will function the same once logged in but we want to help make sure you are set up using the app to the best of your situation! 
 

Creating an Account

Email

Creating an account with email is the easiest way to sign in and out of your account on multiple devices. If you plan on using multiple devices, create an account using your email. Social sign-in like Apple or Google will limit you to only signing in on devices that are signed in to the same social (AppleID or Gmail).

1. Download the MLBU App. 
2. Select Get Started.
3. Enter your email address in the Email Field and wait for the 6 digit verification code to be sent. 
4. Enter your unique 6 digit verification code and select Continue.
5. Enter your First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth. 
6. Select Guardian or Player.
   • If you are a Player simply select Continue, and your account will be created! 

If you are a Guardian, follow these steps below to finish creating your account:

1. Select Guardian. 
2. Enter your Family Name and select Continue. 
3. Select the Add New Player button. 
4. Enter your players First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth. You can then select Add Player, and this will create your player's account!
   • You can add as many player profiles as you would like, by simply repeating this same process. Once you are finished adding all of your players, you can select the Done button. This will finish the process!

Google

If you plan on using multiple devices, create an account using your email. Social sign-in like Google will limit you to only signing in on devices that are signed in to the same social (Gmail). In other words, you will need to login to your Gmail on the new device you are using.

1. Download the MLBU App. 
2. Select Get Started.
3. Select Continue With Google.
4. Select the Google Account you wish to use and enter your credentials. 
5. Enter your First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth. 
6. Select Guardian or Player.
   • If you are a Player simply select Continue, and your account will be created! 

If you are a Guardian, follow these steps below to finish creating your account:

1. Select Guardian. 
2. Enter your Family Name and select Continue. 
3. Select the Add New Player button. 
4. Enter your players First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth. You can then select Add Player, and this will create your player's account!
   • You can add as many player profiles as you would like, by simply repeating this same process. Once you are finished adding all of your players, you can select the Done button. This will finish the process!

Apple

If you plan on using multiple devices, create an account using your email. Social sign-in like Apple will limit you to only signing in on devices that are signed in to the same social (AppleID). In other words, you will need to login to your AppleID on the new device you are using.

1. Download the MLBU App. 
2. Select Get Started.
3. Select Continue With Apple.
4. Select your Apple ID, and then select Sign In With Passcode.
5. Enter your Apple Device's Passcode. 
6. Enter your First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth. 
7. Select Guardian or Player.
   • If you are a Player simply select Continue, and your account will be created! 

If you are a Guardian, follow these steps below to finish creating your account:

1. Select Guardian. 
2. Enter your Family Name and select Continue. 
3. Select the Add New Player button. 
4. Enter your players First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth. You can then select Add Player, and this will create your player's account!
   • You can add as many player profiles as you would like, by simply repeating this same process. Once you are finished adding all of your players, you can select the Done button. This will finish the process!

Learning To Switch Profiles

If you created a Guardian Account, it is important to know how to Switch Profiles within the MLBU App, that way your player can access their Stats, Complete Activities, and partake in the full MLBU App experience. To switch back and forth between your Guardian and Player Profiles, follow these steps below: 

1. Once you are logged in the the MLBU App, select Home.
2. Select the Hello Arrow Icon at the top of the Home page.
3. Select the profile you wish to Play As.
   • This will automatically switch you over to the profile you selected!

Access Your Stats via Stacks

1. Create or Log In to your MLBU Account. 
   • If you are a Guardian, make sure you switch to your players profile by selecting the Hello Arrow Icon at the top of the Home Page.
2. Select the Your Game tab. 
3. Select Access Your Stats.
4. Enter your Stacks ID and select the Blue Check Mark.
   • Your Stacks ID will be provided in your BASE confirmation email from 1845, and is located at the top of your player profile in Stacks. Click here to access your Stacks account and locate your Stacks ID
5. You should now see your Stacks ID square populate. To connect your Stacks ID, select Connect.

Your Stacks Profile should now be connected to the MLBU App! With this now activated, your metrics should appear under the Your Game tab.
